Care & Share assists families in the East Lyme/Niantic and Salem communities with  tuition assistance for childrens’ summer camp.  We also provide scholarships to recent high school graduates as well as adults, helping to defray some of the costs of college and other secondary school education.

Camperships

In the Spring of each year, Care & Share accepts applications for camperships for children in the local community.  The primary source of referrals is from our public schools.

Care & Share pays the tuition (limits apply) for a limited number of campers, and coordinates outside grant funds with other organizations and camps, so additional children can attend a camp session tuition-free.

Camperships have been awarded for the year 2009.  If you would like to apply for a campership for the Summer of 2010, please check this section of our website for an application in April, 2010.  Applications will also be available in the East Lyme High School offices, libraries in both East Lyme and Salem.

Scholarships

Each Spring, Care & Share accepts applications for college and other secondary school scholarships from members of the local community.

Care & Share offers scholarships to help defray the cost of tuition, fees or books for eligible students.  Monetary awards are based upon financial need and academic success.  Student applicants must be residents of East Lyme/Niantic or Salem, and have just graduated from high school and have been accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning; be an adult beginning a secondary school education; or, be a continuing student at an accredited institution of higher learning.
